On Friday, February 17, 2025, the Model Centre for Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality of the Region of Epirus had the pleasure of welcoming the students of the course “Cultural Industries and Technoculturalism in Music”, of the Department of Music Studies of the University of Ioannina.

The visiting group consisted of 20 students and their accompanying professor, who had the opportunity to get to know the activities and technological possibilities of the Centre.

During the visit, a presentation on the activities and programmes of the Centre was given, followed by the students’ participation in a series of cutting-edge demonstrations. The demonstrations included:

– Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR/AR) experiences

– Hand tracking devices (hand tracking devices).

– Robotic arms

The visit concluded with the students’ participation in a special VR CPR simulation, combining Virtual Reality technology with first aid training.

The Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality Model Centre continues to be a hub of innovation and education, providing visitors with the opportunity to explore the latest technologies and discover how they can be applied to different fields such as culture and music.
