VRCPR

Development of a CPR training application in Virtual Reality

Quick Summary

Training and Evaluation in virtual reality (VR) for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automatic defibrillator in collaboration with the humanitarian organisation KIDSSAVELIVES

The main objectives of the project to develop the VR training and assessment application for CPR and the use of an automatic defibrillator are:
– Develop a VR training and information app that will allow users to be trained in CPR and automatic defibrillator use.
– Evaluate the effectiveness of the app in improving users’ knowledge and skills in CPR and use of an automated defibrillator.
– Promote information and awareness on the need for CPR and proper use of an automatic defibrillator to the general public through the app.

The Application includes the development of the graphics, implementation of the functions, data visualization and audio integration.
– Development process of the VR training and evaluation application, including implementation of the algorithms for feedback and verification of correct performance of CPR skills.
– Knowledge and technologies required to develop the application, including knowledge of VR technology, motion detection algorithms and training software development.
– Features and functionality of the application, such as the ability to train in different CPR scenarios, simulate real environments and monitor user progress.
