EpirusXRCenter attends the inauguration of the Epirus Innovation Center

EpirusXRCenter attended the official opening of the new Epirus Innovation Center, which took place on Wednesday afternoon in Ioannina, in the presence of the Minister of Education, Religion, and Sports, Ms. Sofia Zacharaki.

The Epirus Innovation Center is housed in the Kato Marmaron Primary School in Ioannina and is part of the Pan-Hellenic Network of 13 Innovation Centers being developed in each Regional Education Directorate in the country, with scientific and pedagogical support from ITYE “Diophantus” and funding from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan – Greece 2.0.

The presence of EpirusXRCenter at the inauguration is part of its ongoing networking and familiarization with educational innovation bodies, as well as its monitoring of good practices in modern education, emerging technologies, and experiential learning. During the event, the members of the Center had the opportunity to get to know the infrastructure and operating philosophy of the Epirus Innovation Center and exchange views with education executives, educators, and institutional representatives.

The event was also attended by representatives of the academic and student community, including members of the IEEE Student Branch, reinforcing the dialogue on the connection between higher education, research, and educational innovation.

The Epirus Innovation Center is a modern hub for learning and collaboration, with five flexible learning spaces (XR, IoT, Robotics, Manufacturing, and Collaborative Learning), supporting STEM, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Emerging Technologies initiatives, with a focus on supporting STEM, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Emerging Technologies initiatives, supporting STEM, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Emerging Technologies initiatives, supporting STEM, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Emerging Technologies initiatives, supporting STEM, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Emerging Technologies initiatives, supporting STEM, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Emerging Technologies initiatives, supporting STEM, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Emerging Technologies initiatives, supporting STEM, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Emerging Technologies initiatives, supporting STEM, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Robotics, Manufacturing, and Collaborative Learning), supporting STEM, Artificial Intelligence, robotics, and emerging technologies, with an emphasis on experiential and collaborative approaches.

The presence of EpirusXRCenter at the inauguration confirms the Center’s interest in collaborations and synergies that strengthen the innovation and education ecosystem in Epirus.
