Visit by Kompotio High School to the EpirusXRCenter

On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the EpirusXRCenter (Center for Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality of the Region of Epirus) had the pleasure of welcoming 38 students from Kompotio High School, accompanied by two teachers, for a unique educational experience focused on modern technologies.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to learn about and try out Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) technologies, experiencing interactive scenarios that combine education and innovation. At the same time, they participated in presentations using the CAVE projection system, gaining a unique immersive experience in digital environments.

The driving simulator generated particular interest, where students tested their skills in realistic conditions, as well as the eye-tracking system, through which they learned how human attention and perception are analyzed, as well as the operator-free piano.

The experience concluded with a drone demonstration, showcasing automatic flight and “follow me” functions, impressing the participants and highlighting the capabilities of modern technologies in the field of robotics and autonomous systems.

This visit was yet another outreach initiative by EpirusXRCenter, strengthening the link between education and innovation and providing students with valuable inspiration for the future.

The EpirusXRCenter continues to actively support the educational community by promoting experiential learning and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
