When Music Meets Technology: The Arta Experience in a Video
It wasn’t just a two-day event.
It was an experience.
For two days, the Epirus XR Center in Arta was transformed into a vibrant meeting place for sound, movement, and technology—and now this experience is captured in a new video featuring highlights from the two-day event “Music Performance and Emerging Technologies.”
Through images and sound, the video captures what is difficult to describe in words:
the energy of a space where music is not confined to stages and instruments, but is born through bodies, sensors, algorithms, and digital environments.
From talks and workshops to artistic activities and spontaneous moments of interaction, a community emerges that creates, experiments, and redefines the boundaries of expression.
At the heart of this experience, the collaboration between the Department of Music Studies and the Epirus XR Center has shaped a new field of creation—where science does not merely explain art, but becomes part of it.
The presence of international figures, such as Frédéric Bevilacqua (IRCAM, Paris), and collaborations with institutions such as the Greek National Opera, reinforced the event’s international and pioneering character.
The result?
A first, dynamic step toward establishing a new hub for music and technology in Arta.
Warm thanks to the organizer, Mr. Pavlos Antoniadis, for his vision and for bringing this experience to life.
The video is not merely a recording.
It is an invitation: to relive the moment—or to discover it for the first time.
