Visit by the 2nd General Lyceum of Arta to the EpirusXRCenter
The EpirusXRCenter (Center for Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality of the Region of Epirus) on Thursday, April 2, 2026, was delighted to welcome 28 students from the 2nd General Lyceum of Arta, accompanied by three teachers.
During their visit, the students had the opportunity to learn about and interact with cutting-edge technologies. Specifically, they tried out Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) applications, while participating in hands-on experiences using a driving simulator.
Of particular interest was the use of an eye-tracking system, through which students learned how human attention and behavior are analyzed. At the same time, they were impressed by the demonstration of a drone equipped with Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, which could autonomously follow users, highlighting modern applications of robotics and autonomy.
The visit was a unique opportunity to familiarize themselves with the technologies of the future, reinforcing the students’ interest in innovation, science, and new digital skills.
The EpirusXRCenter continues to actively support outreach and educational initiatives, bringing young people closer to the world of technology
