The future of technology begins in Arta

TryEngineering on Campus at the University of Ioannina – Arta | Summer School 2026 returns for its 3rd year

The University of Ioannina in Arta is once again transforming into a vibrant hub of technology, innovation, and creativity this summer, hosting TryEngineering on Campus at UOI – Arta | Summer School 2026, a unique summer school dedicated to the technologies of the future and experiential education.

From July 6 to 11, 2026, middle and high school students from all over Greece will have the opportunity to experience a modern university campus for six days, participating in interactive workshops, group projects, and hands-on technological experiences.

The program takes place at the University of Ioannina Campus in Arta and is held under the auspices of the IEEE, the world’s largest professional technical organization.

At the same time, it is implemented with the support of the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Epirus and the Municipality of Arta, strengthening the connection between education, technology, and the local community.

Participants will gain hands-on experience with:

• Artificial Intelligence (AI)
• Robotics & Automation
• Virtual & Augmented Reality (VR/AR)
• 3D Printing
• Modern engineering tools and skills of the future

Through hands-on activities and collaborative projects, the program aims to inspire the next generation of creators by giving students the opportunity to:
• discover new scientific and career paths,
• develop collaboration and problem-solving skills,
• interact with researchers, academics, and engineers,
• and learn how the world of technology and innovation is shaped.
TryEngineering on Campus at UOI – Arta is not just another summer school. It is a comprehensive experience of university life, exploration, and creation, where learning is put into practice and technology becomes a tool for expression and inspiration.


The program includes:
• Hands-on workshops and interactive classes
• Group activities and projects
• Inspiration talks by professionals and researchers
• Educational field trips
• Final Project Day with team presentations
Upon completion of the program, all participants will receive:


• Certificate of Attendance from KEDIVIM at the University of Ioannina
• IEEE Certificate of Participation
The event is being held for the third consecutive year, confirming its status as one of the most modern and innovative educational experiences for young people in Greece.
