Presentation of Doctoral Thesis at EpirusXRCenter by Mr. Emmanouil Oikonomou
The presentation of the doctoral thesis of Mr. Emmanouil Oikonomou, member of the Research Group on Augmented and Mixed Reality of Epirus (KEEPH), was successfully held at the Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality Center of Epirus (KE Augmented and Mixed Reality Center of Epirus (KEEPH).
The thesis, entitled “Machine Learning for Omics Data Analysis and Precision Medicine,” focuses on the development and application of advanced machine learning methods for understanding complex biological data and improving personalized medicine. Through his work, Mr. Oikonomou presents modern approaches that contribute to better diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutic targeting in a rapidly evolving field.
During the presentation, the importance of research into Omics data was highlighted, as well as how its use, in combination with artificial intelligence techniques, can significantly enhance Precision Medicine. At the same time, the role of KEEPI as a supportive space for contemporary research activities and scientific presentations was emphasized.
