The IEEE Student Branch of the University of Ioannina – Arta and the EpirusXRCenter are preparing to make a strong showing at the national conference IEEE SBs National Summit: Shaping AI & Metaverse, to be held on April 24 and 25 at the Conference Center of the University of West Attica, on the Ancient Eleon Campus.

This participation represents a significant recognition of the ongoing progress and innovative initiatives taking place in Arta, through projects that bridge education, research, and cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual/Augmented Reality, and the Metaverse.

Specifically, on Saturday, April 25, IEEE SB UOI Arta and EpirusXRCenter will participate in the following:

🔹 12:40 – 13:25 | Panel Discussion
Participation in a thematic panel focusing on the future of the Metaverse, research, and modern technologies, contributing to the dialogue regarding their applications in science and education.

🔹 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM | Workshop
Interactive workshop featuring presentations of innovative XR applications, where the audience will have the opportunity to experience firsthand technologies already being utilized in education, healthcare, and simulations.

🔹 4:45 PM – 5:45 PM | Presentation of Projects
Presentation of the most significant projects and initiatives of IEEE SB UOI Arta and the EpirusXRCenter, with an emphasis on research projects and educational applications and innovative solutions being developed in Epirus.
