The 3rd TryEngineering OnCampus Summer School in Arta was a resounding success

The 3rd TryEngineering OnCampus Summer School, held from July 6 to 11, 2026, at the facilities of the Department of Informatics and Telecommunications at the University of Ioannina in Arta, concluded with great success and left a particularly positive impression.

For six days, middle and high school students had the opportunity to experience firsthand the exciting world of science, engineering, and modern technologies through a rich, interactive, and hands-on educational program.

Participants worked in groups and attended classes and workshops on cutting-edge topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, 3D Printing, and Augmented Reality, developing their own ideas and creating original projects.

At the same time, the program included afternoon hands-on workshops, talks by engineers and scientists, and activities in creative writing, first aid, natural sciences, environmental education, contemporary dance, and creative expression.

A special part of the program was the educational field trip and the visit to an industrial site, where students had the opportunity to experience modern production processes firsthand and understand the role of engineering, technology, and innovation in everyday life and the professional world.

The event concluded on Saturday, July 11, 2026, with a closing ceremony, during which the teams presented the projects and ideas they had developed throughout the week. The students’ presentations highlighted their creativity, collaboration, imagination, critical thinking, and enthusiasm for science and technology.

The impressive participation of the students, the active involvement of instructors, volunteers, and partner organizations, as well as the highly positive feedback from the children and their parents, confirmed the success of the event and the need to continue similar educational initiatives.

The 3rd TryEngineering OnCampus Summer School was not merely an educational activity, but a comprehensive experience of learning, collaboration, exploration, and creativity. For yet another year, it was proven that when young people have access to the right tools, the right inspiration, and a supportive environment, they can create, innovate, and shape their own future.

The organizing team extends its warmest thanks to all the students who participated, to the parents for their trust, to the instructors, volunteers, the speakers, partners, supporters, and everyone who contributed significantly to the smooth and successful implementation of the program.

The success of the 3rd Summer School provides the best foundation for future educational initiatives, with the goal of introducing even more children to the world of engineering, science, and technology.

The journey of knowledge, creativity, and innovation continues!
