EpirusXRCenter and IEEE Student Branch University of Ioannina – Arta were hosted on ERT ECHO, as part of the informative program “Pyxida stin Enimerosi” (Compass in Information) on the Regional Station of Ioannina, with journalist Dimitris Kosinas.

The participation in the program was prompted by the Christmas Food Drive and the participation of the organizations in the Christmas Village of Arta, as well as the “Christmas with Mixed Reality,” which brings Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies closer to the local community.

During the discussion, the importance of social solidarity, cooperation between educational institutions and local government, and the role that new technologies can play in raising awareness among citizens, especially young people, was highlighted.

Special mention was made of the collaboration with the Municipality of Arta, as well as the positive response of the public to the activities of EpirusXRCenter, proving that innovation, when linked to social goals, can act as a lever for participation, education, and contribution.

EpirusXRCenter and IEEE Student Branch UOI Arta continue to implement actions that combine technology, education, and social responsibility, with the aim of supporting the local community and promoting innovation in Epirus.
