On Tuesday 23 April 2024, the Centre for Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality of Epirus Region (EpirusXRCenter) welcomed the students of the Epsereinos EPAL Arta for an educational excursion that included a wide range of activities with cutting-edge technologies.
The students started with an extensive presentation in the CAVE (Virtual Reality Cell) area, where they were introduced to the latest developments in virtual and augmented reality technologies. The presentation included interesting images, videos and details of the applications of these technologies in various fields.
After the presentation, the students had the opportunity to simultaneously try out the driving simulator and other activities related to virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and haptic response. These activities provided them with a comprehensive experience, allowing them to explore virtual environments, interact with digital objects, and understand how these technologies work.
The visit gave the students a comprehensive experience of virtual and augmented reality fields, giving them an idea of how these technologies can be integrated into different professions and disciplines. The students left with enthusiasm and new ideas for their future.
EpirusXRCenter thanks the Esperino EPAL Arta for the visit and looks forward to future events and partnerships that will continue to encourage education and technological innovation.
