Music, technology, and scientific research come together in a unique two-day event dedicated to emerging technologies and musical performance, to be held on March 16 and 17 at the Epirus XR Center of HCILAB on the University Campus of Arta.

At a time when artificial intelligence, interactive systems, and virtual reality are redefining the concept of creation, the Epirus XR Center is actively participating in the action by presenting the new possibilities that are opening up for music, artistic research, and education.

The event, entitled “Musical Performance and Emerging Technologies,” brings together artists, researchers, scientists, and students, creating a meeting place where music is not just sound, but an experience connected to the body, technology, and digital environments.

The Epirus XR Center at the forefront of innovation

During the two-day event, the Epirus XR team will present the center’s activities and capabilities in a special session dedicated to Extended Reality (XR) technologies.

The presentation will highlight how technologies such as:

Virtual Reality (VR)

Augmented Reality (AR)

Interactive immersive environments

motion sensors and biophysiological data

can transform musical performance into a multisensory experience.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about applications where body movement is transformed into musical information, where the digital environment becomes a stage for new forms of artistic expression, and where technology acts as a partner in creativity.
